The Cort Modern Burgundy is a cutting-edge acoustic-electric guitar that reimagines the Grand Concert concept for the contemporary musician. As part of the Masterpiece Series, it features a redesigned “Modern Concert” body with a soft Venetian cutaway, engineered for maximum resonance, clarity, and comfort. Its most striking innovation is the removal of the traditional top soundhole. Instead, the guitar uses dual side sound ports, which allow the solid European spruce top to resonate freely while projecting sound upward toward the player for exceptional monitoring and tonal detail.
Built with solid mahogany back and sides, the Modern Burgundy offers a warm, balanced midrange that pairs beautifully with the shimmering overtones of the European spruce top. Player-focused ergonomics include a beveled armrest, rib rest, and an asymmetrical Ergo-A neck profile reinforced with walnut for added stability. When amplified, the Fishman Matrix Infinity VT system delivers a natural, dynamic tone with discreet soundhole-mounted controls for intuitive onstage adjustments.
