The Cort KX508MS KX Series 8 String Electric Guitar in Mariana Blue Burst is a groundbreaking instrument, marking Cort's first foray into the realm of multi-scale 8-string guitars. This model is designed to cater to the needs of modern rock players, offering a variety of great sounds through the highly regarded Fishman® Fluence Modern pickups. These pickups are acclaimed for their ability to deliver both active and passive tones, ranging from brutal modern metal distortion to sweet, clean vintage-like sounds.
The guitar features a lightweight Swamp Ash body, known for its punchy high-mids, topped with a visually stunning Poplar Burl, adding a unique aesthetic touch. The individual hardtail bridge for each string, combined with a string-thru body design, ensures greatly improved sustain, superb string separation for enhanced articulation, and precise intonation.
The KX508MS is equipped with a 26.5-28” multi-scale fret system, offering a tight and punchy low-end for the low-B and low-F# strings, while maintaining a familiar feel and tension on the treble strings. The Macassar Ebony fingerboard, adorned with Teardrop inlays, provides a cutting high-end and smooth playability.
