The Cort KX500EBK KX Series Electric Guitar in Etched Black is a top-tier instrument designed for modern players who demand versatility and high-quality aesthetics. This guitar, inspired by the popular KX508MS and KX500MS models, stands as the flagship of the KX Series in a conventional 6-string setup. It features a unique ash burl top on a mahogany body, creating a deep 3-dimensional, multi-layered look known as “etched”. The wood's sonic character is brilliant and sparkling, complementing the warm and thick sounding mahogany body with a solid punchy midrange.
Equipped with multi-voiced Fishman® Fluence Modern Humbuckers, the KX500EBK is free from hum, noise, and inductance issues, delivering pure, uncorrupted, and musical tone. The guitar's versatility is further enhanced by the push/pull function on both the volume and tone knobs, combined with a 3-way pickup selector. This setup allows switching between Voice1/Voice2 and full humbucker/coil-split modes.
The hardtail bridge with string-thru body design improves sustain and resonance, while the Macassar Ebony fingerboard with "Raindrop" inlay adds a distinctive look. The 5-piece Maple and Purpleheart neck provides strength, stability, and a focused sound, complementing the body's acoustic resonance.
