Overview
The Warm Audio WA-47 is an all-vacuum tube, large diaphragm, transformer-balanced, multi-pattern condenser microphone, based on the classic '47 that has been used on countless hit records for the last 50+ years. Designed for pro studio, home studio, live, and broadcast applications, it excels on vocals, acoustic/electric guitars, bass, drums, piano, strings, and brass. While the original '47 became extremely popular in the 1960s and is considered one of the greatest microphones ever made, vintage units have become exceptionally rare and expensive; the WA-47 brings this legendary sound to modern engineers.
At the heart of the WA-47 is a custom reproduction of the vintage K47-style capsule, designed with the same hole pattern and frequency response as the original. Every capsule is manufactured in a clean-room environment, visually inspected, and electrically tested to ensure perfection. By pairing this faithful capsule recreation with premium components like a JJ Slovak 5751 vacuum tube and a TAB-Funkenwerk (AMI) USA output transformer, the WA-47 delivers the authentic, rich tone of the classic original at an attainable price.
